At CUCUMBER, we do therapy differently.

We support people to feel safe and fulfilled in themselves, their relationships, and the world.

CUCUMBER therapists use modalities that integrate the psychological, emotional, relational, somatic, and sexological dimensions of being human. We don’t just do surface-level treatment.

We centre the human experience of relationships, and we lead with authenticity—cutting through the stifling silence of shame and trauma.

Whether you’re healing your relationship with yourself, a loved one, or the world at large, CUCUMBER is here for you.

What we offer

  • Attachment, developmental, sexual, and relational trauma therapy is a focus area of ours. Trauma therapy supports clients to recognise unconscious self-protective patterns and forge a newfound felt-sense of safety.

  • Sex Therapy and Couples Sex Therapy at CUCUMBER is different from other sexology services you may find around Melbourne. We focus on your relationship to your sexual fulfillment and sex life so that you can be freed from pressure, pain, disassociation, frustration, and shame, and move into pleasure, curiosity, playfulness, and connection.

  • CUCUMBER offers mental health therapy for anxiety, depression, and the deeper patterns beneath them. We understand these experiences as natural responses to stress and overwhelm—fight, flight, freeze, fawn or collapse. Our therapists work with you to build a felt sense of safety in your body, restore connection, and support lasting emotional wellbeing.

  • Couples Counselling focuses on supporting each person to see, hear, and hold both themselves and their partner with compassion. Relationship Therapy is grounded in attachment theory and supports a couple towards harmony.

Please note we do not specialise in physically violent relationships and would need to refer elsewhere.

  • We offer therapy that honours neurodiversity—not as something to fix, but as something to understand, support, and integrate. Whether you're navigating masking, sensory overload, social connection, or identity discovery, we work with you in ways that honour your rhythms, needs, and strengths.

  • At CUCUMBER, LGBTQIA+ Therapy affirms all identities and orientations. We provide a space that is attuned to the unique complexities of queer experience—from coming out, gender exploration, and minority stress to the impact of trauma on identity, intimacy, and belonging. We meet you where you are, with warmth, respect, and care.

  • ENM Therapy at CUCUMBER is a non-judgemental space to explore the realities of open relationships, polyamory, or other non-traditional relational structures. We support you in navigating boundaries, communication, jealousy, and attachment. Whether you're new to ENM or years into it, you're not just welcome, you’re understood here.

Forging new pathways of connection to self, lover, and other.

Our Values

Compassionate Curiosity

We hold up a compassionate mirror in session, led by a genuine curiosity to know you and support you to see yourself in the kindest light.

Empathy & Affirmation

We celebrate you, believe in you, and will meet your truest self with kindness. We do not judge. We accept. We affirm.

Authenticity & Honesty

We show up as real people and invite you to do the same—truthfully, imperfectly, and embracing the weird.

Evidence & Professionalism

Every therapist holds registration with ACA and/or PACFA and has additional recognised post-graduate training in sexology.

Creativity & Joy

Therapy is both an art and a science, so we create a collaborative form of therapy that feels personalised and joyful.
